The joint-stock company Trade House KazMunaiGaz decided on opening a representation branch in the Chinese National Republic with an office in Urumchi, Sinzyan Uigur. Trade House KazMunaiGaz China has been created in December, 2004, as a part of the expansion program of Trade House KazMunaiGaz, as well as in connection with the beginning of construction of the oil pipeline Atasu-Alashankoi.
The primary goals of TH KazMunaiGaz China are:
* Export of Kazakhstan and Russian oil to the Peoples Republic of China;
* Import of high-octane gasoline to the Republic of Kazakhstan; * Rendering of services on marketing crude oil in the Peoples Republic of China and region of Southeast Asia;
* Development of a gas stations chain in the territory of the Peoples Republic of China, under the brand name of National Company KazMunaiGaz
Another purpose for opening of a Chinese representation branch is the studying of:
* Local market wholesale, small-wholesale and retail trade in mineral oil; * The acts regulating the above activity; * Opportunities for penetrating the market of the Peoples Republic of China, in connection with the introduction of the Peoples Republic of China in WTO and the gradual liberalization of these kinds of activities.
The head office of the company is located in the city of Urumchi, Sinzyan-Uigur autonomous region in the Peoples Republic of China.
